Thanks, Mike. I think I'll skip the adaptor. IAC, Calumet have them on back order. I'm not likely to use tethered mode for some time to come but just wanted to use it for testing and learning. Not sure if the FinePix viewer will even show me an image without downloading from the card but I thought I'd try it. > Next issue to arise I predict will be whether the meter is accurate > and whether you can trust the auto exposure :-) That's the kind of thing I wanted to test. Very hard to tell from the playback image if you don't have a card in the body. I should have the cards today or tomorrow. Have you done any tests and did you find the metering was off? Also, as someone who has never used autofocus, I have noticed after playing with it for a day or so that it needs some contrast in the focus field(s) to latch onto. Wonder if people were trying to focus on a flat area of an image and then, when it wouldn't focus, saying it has focus problems. Seems too obvious to mention it but, what the heck, live dangerously, I say. <G> --/ Shangara Singh http://www.e-pixel.co.uk Adobe Certified Expert ~ Photoshop 7.0 PortfoliosOnCD for Photographers http://www.portfoliosoncd.com =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
