Peter Can you be a bit more specific? What's the subject that it won't focus on? How far is the subject from the camera? How low is "dim light"? How is your focusing weighted? What lens are you using when you get poor auto focus? Does it still give poor results if you move the focus point onto a contrasty area, lock it, reframe and then shoot?
