Paul, The viewfinder is identical to the 1v film camera, ie clear and very bright. The 1D was good, the 1Ds is superb and the image quality is a real delight. Coupled with Phase One's Capture One, the true benefits of a digital workflow can at last be realised. R. Nick WB
