I am in the process of upgrading equipment (new G4/screen/printer etc) The company I was speaking to strongly recommended RIP software to accompany a 2100 and a 1270 printer on the basis it would provide more accurate colours and sharper images from my pictures. (They recommended Bestware designer RIP) I knew you guys in Prodig land would probably have more knowledge of the advantages/need for this than I would hence my posting. I only really use Photoshop although do have Illustrator on my machine as well. It seems I really have no need for RIP whatsoever unless there is some other advantage of using it with Illustrator.
