[PRODIG]Nikon zoom choice for S2?

Got an 80-200 f2.8 zoom which is getting a little tired, and I wondered if anyone out there has one of the newer versions or the Vibration reduction model..are they better than this original ED non 'D type' model...the S2 seems to struggle with the focussing motor..but then again so does the F80.

If you've tried one on an S2 then even better
