  I dare say (correct me if I'm wrong) the Mac monitor is still a factory
gamma ~2.5 monitor because factory gamma ~1.8 monitors are pretty darn
special and expensive (but not uncommon in a Mac/ICC environment).  I do
imagine the cables being different, but maybe not (... since, like PCs, Mac
allowed 3rd party video cards) ... but you'll want to make sure.

  Only after the usual characterization & calibration. (PS gamma, Colorcal
Spyder, etc.)
