I have experience with a Mac Power PC Clone only but I was able to switch monitors from a PC to the Mac most of the time. Some PC monitors didn't work, but everything that worked on the Mac also worked on the PC. And with today's convergence of ports I'll bet there will be no problem. Monitor Gamma is seldom set on the monitor itself, except for specialized hardware (I think) but is a function of the OS, maybe the Bios, but most likely just a software calibration.
