Modern Mac monitors have a unique connector that combines the power video & usb all into one nifty cable. They don't work on PC's (or even older Macs without an expensive adaptor) hence television programmes like So Graham Norton, Do you want to be a millionaire? & Tommorrows World that used Apple monitors connected to PC's now have use uncool PC monitors instead.

If the hire company are supply an 17" Apple monitor to work on a PC it must be ancient.

When I asked what type of monitor I would get with the
PC they said they would supply the same Mac 17 inch
monitor.

Is this a good idea, given that there is a difference
in gamma between Mac & PC monitors?
wish I had some specific experience ... and its stranges to see so few
responses.
