The first time I saw in Photoshop a 'Profile to (pixl) Profile' conversion on a file destined for print on my (profiled) Epson 1160, I laughed my head off. On screen the result was unbelievable, with the most bizzare skewing of colours and tonalities - that is - pure raw data about to hit the printer/ink/paper combo the profile was made for - without anything in between. I was ecstatic with the print, and everything else that I have printed since. Need I say more, except I am quite happy to see subscribers promote their intellectual property in a timely way, even I do it from time to time <G> best William Curwen www.william.ws (update imminent:) PS: A printer without a profile is like a Rolls Royce with a marble in the ashtray.
