My oldest negs look OK. Will the CD's be the same in 20 years?

Dear Tim,

Maybe there is a way of looking at it. I suppose there are some relative
long archive ways of sorting your work.

I have a few here. With regards to cds I really dont know the length of
time they will last. I supose you could always get a dvd burner and burn
larger amounts of stuff. Burn two copies and only ever access one if you
need to. You could then get some external usb 2 hard drives 120gb or
larger and buy one everytime it fills up and store that (though I dont
know what effect none use will have) So you have three copies of data,
I suppose if you loose it then, then it was meant to be lost. My cd
reader is on its way out and as I am pc I am thinking of getting another
cd burner (only 40) so I have two and then can burn the data twice at
one press of a mouse, so saving time.

Just a thought anyway.

I suppose if you are pc based and are into building you could have a
motherboard with a raid and run up to 4 burners at once and make mutiple
copies of the cd, I not quite sure if you can configure easy cd creator
or nero to do that. Seems a relatively cheap way of making a secure data
backup system.

Cheers
