I'm not really a great believer in CD archiving (for reasons of size and
speed of access) However I think your thinking is slightly wrong, in five
years time (or less), you can copy the CD's to another media (whatever is
new at the time), without any loss of quality. Your negs have a finite life,
there is no copying them :-(   they will die eventually  :-(

Obviously we are not talking about scanning the negs etc. as that turns them
into CD's again. Plus you can make multiple copies of your CD's, but only
ever have one neg!
