Hi David Look at a print and at what you used to accept from your pro lab. You may be surprised. For the highlights some times adding a little noise helps (threshold selection or layer mask). I have rescued blown out wedding dresses by carefully pasting in sections from correctly exposed pictures and cloning but making it look natural can be very difficult and take far too long. Adding a little noise some times blurred slightly can be just enough and is quick. Good luck
