Dear David, Ok here's my penny's worth. If you can shoot raw files then try this I think it should yield the results you want.
Use Bibble and let bibble http://www.bibblelabs.com/ interpolate the short side in pixel count (as the d1x reses one side down as the pixel count is longer on one side than the other, as the pixels are oblong). Bible allows you to produce a 30.2 mb 8 bit file (4018 by 2624 pixels, larger than normal) but you would get it as a 16 bit file about 60mb. Then use the actions from http://www.fredmiranda.com/Action_profilesPage/index.html, just downloaded these and I am well happy with the results. Fred says his actions don't work as well with the bibble change, however what I would do is to, may make size adjustmenst of this image at 102% as an action on an f key and res it up until reached the desired size then use the sharpening action from fred miranda, either way it will yield better results than just changing the image size and doing a one step interpolation. Use these to interpolate the images up and sharpen them. You should be fine then, it will get rid of the jaggies. You should be ok at 120dpi and it will give you something which will be good, especially at that size. I rekon my d100 is good to 2m high with the actions from araw file now at 150dpi. Hope that helps Cheers Ian Reynolds =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
