How can warm paper increase ink longevity, how can you

Not warm paper but super-dry paper. The inks on the HP designjet proofing printer last about a month in normal circumstances on a window ledge. Drying the paper in front of a halogen heater before printing makes a discernable difference to the cure time and the fade time. It is somewhere on the HP help web site but I can't find it at the moment.
