I am thinking of shifting to a digital camera after years of shooting film.  Specifically, the Canon EOS 1Ds.  My problem is in understanding the in field procedure.  With an 11.1 pixel image, the on camera storage is limited.  What is the recommended procedure for storing images in the field?  Should one take a laptop along to down load to hard drive, CD’s or DVD’s.  Certainly, a laptop is useful for in field reviews.  What is the optimum setup?

Is there a procedure for getting transparencies or negatives from a digital image for wet darkroom printing?
