There are issues with the Epson 2100 (2200 in US) and some of the profiles
that it ships with.

True to say that the printer is particularly fussy about the printer driver
settings and the selected profile.

We found that using the correct driver setting for the paper (eg matt etc)
and the most logical supplied profile (they seem to have some very strange
naming policy), all the prints came out with an unusable colour shift. We
tried the other supplied profiles and one of them printed perfectly!

In fact it was good enough to use without thinking of building a bespoke
profile.

I can't remember the specifics, but email me if you want me to look them up
for you.

The biggest problem with the Epson 2200 / 2100 is metamarism. You will
notice shifts to the magenta under indoor lighting. The effect is less
noticeable in general, colourful images, but for serious colour work IMO
this printer is not an option.

I am soak testing an Epson 2100 for the next three weeks, so if anyone has
any issues, email me off list.

THT,

Mike
