What computer/system/configuration/scanner/connection method are you
using??? 

I used it on Mac OS9 and X the other day and it worked fine. Why not submit
a bug report to Ed Hamrick, I've never come across software that is updated
so regularly... (not a complaint at all!)

I'd also suggest visiting the comp.periphs.scanners news group, since I know
that Ed monitors that list.

It is well worth while keeping some older versions of Vuescan, since
sometimes improvements in one area can affect others. There is for example a
current thread on the newsgroup about E6 dust removal on a FS4000 not
working so well. When you get the latest version it is worth reading the
section of the documentation covering changes.
