[PRODIG] Adobe RAW plug-in Help

Help - I've just given Adobe my money & downloaded a file named 
'Installer'. Double-clicking on it brings up a message 'chose 
application' but nothing I can find will open it - Stuffit Expander 
can't do anything with it. I can't seem to download another copy.

The help page tells me to contact Adobe.

The help line is closed.

Technical Supports mailbox is full (what does that say about Adobe!)

has anybody successfully installed this plug in?
