Dear list, I have a colour calibration query. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
I would like to cailbratemy monitor to my printer (and my scanner too, but Ill worry about that later). I have used Colorific software to calibrate my monitor (though it only goes by eye, not by using fancy gadgets). It came free with the monitor. The results vary greatly every time I run it (which I get prompted to do often!). I have printed a test print from the Digital Dog website (file name: PrinterTestfile.jpg.hqx) and to my eyes it looks good, however, it did not match the screen image, which was a lot lighter. I printed it with no colour correction, using the ICC printer profile in the printer dialogue box. I have been trying to follow the instructions I found on Norman Korens website re. monitor/printercalibration and gamma www.normankoren.com/making fineprints1A.html. My monitor is: LG F700B. Computer: Acer TravelMate 201DX, using Windows ME and Photoshop 6.0. The printer is: Epson Stylus Photo 1290. Scanner: Epson Perfection 3200 Photo (transmissive). Im not sure what I should do next to have my printer and monitor match. I dont have a large budget, or much ken on this subject, but am very keen to learn. Can you advise please? Any help would be gratefully apprecoieted. Thanks Christina Ballard __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
