I've just upgraded from a Nikon Super Coolscan 2000 to a Coolscan 4000. Vuescan, which works fine with the 2000, doesn't "see" the 4000. NikonScan works fine, so it's not a connectivity problem. Have I missed something simple?
I'm running in MacOS9.1.
My LS4000 works fine with VS on a G4. The LS4000 is a firewire scanner - do you have a Mac with native firewire or a card? If a card then maybe that's the problem? Can you boot into X & see if works there?
