I am looking for some real world operator feedback on the recently released Canon 2200 A3plus proofer. The main intention is to use it with our BestColor RIP. I have not yet received any sample prints and my hope it that it will be close to the superb results produced by the Canon S9000 (now available in an even higher res. version...when will it stop?!) However I understand that used as a rip the max. resolution is 1200x1200
I am surprised that there has been no response to this posting...does nobody have any experience of these printers?
There are one or two people here with experience of the S9000's so on the assumption that these printers use similar media and inks, may I ask how much change is there to the prints once they exit the printer......is it slight and is it a matter of waiting a minute or two or are we into one hour or more? As the printer will be used to output CMYK contract proofs, these are important considerations <G> Perhaps Thomas or Neil have some first hand experience of these printers S9000's or the 2200.
I really do want to make a buying decision very soon but need more information.
