Hi all, Well finally it's happened, my local lab has given up the fight and succumbed from the pressure of the digital revolution. Stoneleigh, quite a large outfit up here in Warwick in the Midlands have out of the blue ceased trading leaving me with a bag of film and nowhere to go other than Coventry or Birmingham for processing the small amount of film that we now shoot. Neither prospect is good both being a 90 minute round trip of around 70 miles.
I have been shooting digital 4 shot, macroscan etc with Sinar equipment for a few years now and am more than happy with the results but I have never been fully happy with the quality of one shot with it's inherant moire and chroma problems but it looks as if circumstances may force a change permanently. The question is has anyone found good workarounds for moire and chroma problems that don't soften the image or add an additional hour or two to the shoot? Any usefull web sites I can look at? Any other useful pointers would be most welcome.
