I use the Digital Camera battery for powering both my D1X and the SB80DX flash. They make 2 versions of the cable for the SB80DX - a "pro" version (DCBKE-P) which sells in the US for around $200 and a "regular" version (DCBKE) which is just under $100. I use the regular version and some colleagues who've used both say there is very little difference between the two.
It sounds like, as usual, UK consumers are getting fleeced again so I would simply order it online from the States. I know Adorama have them on their web store:
