Can anyone help?
My Ep 1290 printer's dribbling a screen of perfect thin red lines across the whole area of my prints, it started with a dribble but now it's peeing itself routinely (though neatly).
This is despite repeated software based head-cleaning and a run-through of the 'windex' head-cleaning method using a piece of gauze under the heads. It continues using two different Macs so it's unlikely to be the drivers. Replacing the cartridge has had no effect either.
Assuming it's the heads, has anyone successfully bought, replaced these themselves and saved more than the time taken to replace them? A new 1290 is currently around 304 with the VAT.
Thanks in advance
Nick
