Yes it was simplistic and I genuinely have no axe to grind.
Some time ago is but that, the Association (AoP) has taken a landmark piece of legislation, drew upon past experience and kicked into touch with the second edition of Beyond the Lens. Similarly, the administration has got through a period of restructuring in line with the real-world interests of the membership. The AoP website is now dynamite, with members having a very effective and successful use and control of on-line portfolios to attract commissions - very good marketing. The recent AoP web seminar in Manchester on Saturday really rocked, you would have benefited immensely. > The new guide may change my view of this considerably. I appreciate and respect what you say, the Awards are a different issue and they in turn, are changing in relation to the needs of the membership. Choice of judges and why, is something that has been, (and) is being carefully and continually considered all the time. Basically, the Association knows to the bone that we live in very interesting times.
