I seem to remember Richard K getting some lines across prints from an S9000 but that the new model, presumably the i9100, has solved these issues.
Does nobody have any comments/experience with the Canon S9000/i9100 ?
I'd hate to buy one without the go-ahead from you guys... ;-)
Simon
Dear Simon
For what its worth the lines I saw were very minor and could only be detected looking at the print with a 5X loupe. I understand the problem such as it was has been sorted on the latest model.
We have a brand spanking new Canon W2200 sitting here waiting to be fired up when there's a spare moment. The plan is to use it with our BestColor Colorproof rip for contract proofing work. The tests I saw suggested equal image quality to the 9000 but without those feint lines.
Cheers
Richard
PS We will be looking for a home for our Epson Pro 5000 printer. This is an exceptionally well build A3plus printer, six colour large individual ink carts, printing at a max. of 1440 resolution. At present equipped with economical special long life extended gamut inks, which do not suffer from metamerism. If anyone is interested in purchasing this exceptionally nice condition printer please let me know off list.....it will be available in about two weeks time. Comes with documentation and in original packing case. Oh yes...fine for Mac and PC!
