Finally after reading the list over the last few days I have put my hand in my pocket and bought the minolta 5400. Any idea if there is any speed difference between usb and firewire? Just had this new machine built and never used firewire before but always thought it to be superior to usb ? If anybody has any pointers or tips on scanning negs at max resolution on the 5400 it would be appreciated (got 12yrs worth of trans and negs to hunt through and archive !)
