What interface does the disk unit have? I have a disk unit with a pc card interface - it works a treat with OS9 but fails to mount on OSX - perhaps I'll sell it on eBay and forget to mention that little 'feature' ;-)) If by FW you meant firewire - there should be no problem > I tried holding down 'T' when restarting in the hope that the iBook would > start up from the disk, but it didn't. > T starts the ibook as a disk, so would never boot anyway :-)) Hold down the option key when booting, you will get a choice of any bootable volumes the machine can boot from bye for now Keith Cooper Northlight Images http://northlight-images.co.uk Photography - Digital Imaging - Apple Mac Consultancy Tel +44 (0)116 291 9092 Mobile +44 (0)780 162 9397 =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
