I did say the agencies can set the bar where ever they think fit - it's their business. By all means ridicule members who are trying to be helpful but do read their posts first. Following your argument, one would think that agencies ONLY accept 4x5, 6x7 and drum scans from trannies. According to Amanda, the agency she was referring to accepts uninterpolated files of 28mb files but not 17mb files straight out of a D60, S2 or a D100. So why go to 6x7 and produce a 300mb (or whatEver) file to compare with? Even a lowly 35mm scanner is perfectly capable of producing a 28+mb file and the S2, as I said, can produce 35.5mb files straight out of the camera! > Are you going to suggest that 35mm is no different to larger film? Do you honestly think I'm that dumb?...Your remark seems to say that's what you think. I think you're taking my post, which I thought was trying to help Amanda, out of context and twisting it for whatever motives you have. I must say, it doesn't sound like the helpful Bob Croxford I am used to...having a rough day, maybe? If the ONLY criteria for selling images was quality, I would give my 5 year old a 6x7 and let her shoot stock. I think people like HCB and Elliott Erwitt have proved that "most" people don't give a toss for quality as you are defining it: pixels and more of them. It's HOW those pixels are arranged that makes, breaks and sells a picture. However, if an agency says they want pixels and more of them, there's not a lot you can do but supply pixels and more of them. Amanda, on the other hand, wanted to persuade the agency to accept fewer pixels and your post isn't in the least helpful in that respect. I don't think I will waste time answering the rest... Respectfully, Shangara. =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
