Despite knowing that the digital file you have is as good as it gets, when it is 
output to
film EVERYONE can see it with their standard issue pair of mark 1 eyeballs.
That  will,I suspect, be the state for a long,long time.
Ive been given images of around 1 mb to output to 5x4 neg and tranny and the customers 
all
speak the same language ,they all say, Wow !!
I always supply a "contact sheet" with each CD I supply printed out on heavy weight
Tetenall Gloss paper  and although I have seen the images on the Monitor I'm still
impressed by the high gloss visual impact a real picture gives and often say wow 
muself.
