Thanks a million to everyone who has done a print for me and/or taken the time to call, fantastic.
I hate to push my luck but is there anyone out there with an i9100 who might have a go?

Interestingly (I hope) I also printed this to plain paper, which results in
plenty of visible lines. Simon - I assume you are using appropriate
settings and paper (forgive the question).
(No problem) I'm using the stock inks and the 'Photo paper plus glossy -PP-101' paper. It's what Canon recommend for the best quality output. Settings wise I am on max quality and no colour correction (seems to give the best colour)
I'm actually pretty impressed with the sharpness of the prints but the overall impression is of these absolutely regular, 1mm or so, lines across the print. It's like a transport problem more than a head problem.
In a 'real world' situation, the subject would hide the lines from your eye in many places. In a grad area though, the lines are very obvious indeed.
ASAP I'm going to call various people, like Marrutt, to see if they have seen this prob before.
Again: you guys are great. I appreciate the trouble people have taken.
More comments still also appreciated...
