Hi Simon Three? You're not meant to throw them around you know!!! :-) Seriously, I can see how you could have a problem with the door, every now and then, the scanner seems a bit reluctant to feed the holder but I've found doing a reset resolves this. This generally happens when I've done a serious volume of scanning but have had no real problems as such (touch wood). I was slightly apprehensive about buying Minolta because I've never bought anything from them and particularly something quasi professional so I wasn't sure what the quality of support would be like if anything went wrong etc but I have to say, I've been impressed.
For UK listees, I see in the BJP this week that they raved about the scanner and concluded that it was the best 35mm model on the market. Good luck, hope you get it sorted.
