Dear Michael,

I know you don't like toying with your system too much, but I found
this. Remember the test for 4000/4000 pixels in x time. Well I bought an
amd unlocking kit as I was bored and found my board is not designed for
the new amd Barton chips. Bascially all you do is where the laser has
cut the L1 bridge you just reconnect it allowing you to play with the
multiplier and front side bus.

So now my amd athlon 2000xp+ running at 133mhz (ddr so 266mhz bus) at
1.725v is now a amd 2200xp+ running at 153 mhz (so 306mhz) at 1.8v.
There has been no gain in heat but there is been a 30-40% increase in
performance. With my test time in p-shop down to 11s rather than 18.2.

You can get the at http://www.sochilled.co.uk/product.asp?item=491

Good thing is even if you get it wrong it does no harm. Even if you get
it wrong you just wipe away and start again. Just thought you'd like to
know if you wanted a little more speed. Funny thing is as I have had to
lower my pci speed so I'm on 5:2:1 rather than 4:2:1 I have no lock ups
at all now.

cheers
