This discussion won't change these abuses.....UNLESS we and all other like groups make the abuses LOUDLY public.

Complain, en masse, to all industry magazines, news media, and any TV program productions that focus on amateur, semi-pro and professional photography. AND every time you see something like this....make copies and send it out to all the websites you sub to, all email lists you are on and everywhere else that counts!

This is NOT an isolated incident. It is widespread. The best way to make these types of abuses go away is to get the word out to the rest of the world, and warn all interested persons to avoid these "events". Being cheated is not a satisfactory way of getting your pictures into print! Vote with your wallet. If no one enters these "events", the producers will be "out of business" and will have to amend their ways or find another way to make a living.

This list has enough high-powered talent for media to take it seriously. As an entity, this list COULD make a difference.

So what you say. Well, Mr.Best wants you to send him images on a disc for
judging. If successful you will then be asked to provide images for print in
the calendar.

On top of which, you pay him a fee for the privilege to enter each image in
his competition! Oh! and by the way you release all copyright claims.
