I wonder how many of you have received an email from a Jim Best of Finch Paper? In an obvious round robin note, Mr Best claims that I have been sending him work in the past. News to me! His company is running a photographic competition to all photographers worldwide to provide images for his company's 2004 calendar and its website and anything else they care to dream up in the future. So what you say. Well, Mr.Best wants you to send him images on a disc for judging. If successful you will then be asked to provide images for print in the calendar. On top of which, you pay him a fee for the privilege to enter each image in his competition! Oh! and by the way you release all copyright claims. It did make me wonder if the company was coming on hard times and someone decided it was a good thing to make money out of photographers!
