The new Epson with the Ultrachrome > Glossy ink, looks very interesting also. Hi
You might want to check out the latest Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss ink set for the R800. I've added the PR info to the epson 4000 page at <http://northlight-images.co.uk/epson4000.html> Several people asked the Epson marketing droids at yesterdays NY Photo Expo about whether this ink set would make it to the 4000 or 7600. But it seems the reps had not been programmed to respond on such matters... The additional red and blue inks are said to give a gamut closer to dye inks: "... In addition to the traditional cyan, magenta and yellow inks, the Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss ink set also includes new red and blue inks to create a Hi-Fi ink set that expands the color gamut. The color gamut for the Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss ink on glossy paper is up to 22% larger than ink jet printers with standard cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink sets." People at the show commented that the prints were quite stunning, and showed none of the uneven reflection of ordinary Ultrachrome - but the R800 is only A4 Any one know of such inks for the 96000/7600?? bye for now Keith Cooper =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
