Can anyone on the list who uses Ultrachome inks with fine-art papers please
advise?

I've just profiled my 7600 with Ultrachromes & Hahnemuhle Photo-Rag but I'm
really disappointed in the density of the blacks. The tones are all smooth
with even gradations but do not hit a nice black like the Lyson inks on
Standard Fine-Art. Is this normal?

Am I expecting too much from these inks on fine art papers? I like the
longevity issue for my gallery prints and Jo Public may not even notice but
I certainly do.

I hear that Lyson are introducing a CIS for the 7600, is this maybe the
better option.

I'm using Mac OS9 and no RIP if that helps?

Cheers in advance,

Glyn
