Hi
I've just set up an Epson 2100 using Ultrachrome inks (photo black) at home
for my own photos, and following earlier messages on this thread I tried it
with some B/W prints last night. I use Somerset Enhanced Velvet paper with a
free profile downloaded from
http://www.legionpaper.com/digital/icc_download.htm
(they have them for all the large Epson printers). I expected to be
disappointed but the results were stunning. I had a perfect maximum black
with all the tones to white - I included a step wedge manufactured in
Photoshop - and the overall colour was as neutral as it possibly could be. I
was going to tone my B/W stuff to get round the lack of a max black, but now
I've changed my mind.
