The best blacks I've got from the Ultrachrome inks is using Epson's own 'Glossy Paper - Photo Weight' with the photo black cartridge. The black's on the Archival Matte paper with the Matte Black cartridge are no where near as deep, but that is down to the paper surface. I'm currently testing some samples from Best to find a semi-matte solution which can produce a rich black, I'll let you know the outcome.
