Since there seems to be quite an interest in this tool within Photoshop CS and there is the Kodak Plug in that apparently works as far back as version 6 of Photoshop, I thought it might be worth my while putting something I have done in the ProDIG Annex <www.prodig.org/index.html> It appears in two places, the second of which Ed Horwich is currently adding as I write this email - Look at Technical/IMAGING (digital) - He has just done it!
It is a PDF "shadhi.pdf" of about 1.2Mb that shows what I believe to be a typical situation that a digital photographer might face. It is a situation where colour negative would hold the range better than a transparency, and with digital the range is captured but hard to achieve in print without intervention.
Please note my request in the last paragraph to the Annex entry.
Yours,
