Thanks for taking the time to reply, I've ended up spending too much time on the web trying to find out more about DSLRs and their colour capturing ability. Seems like profiling cameras unleashes a whole load of new problems, and the more I learn the less I know!
I did uncover a Canon 'tec guide' which draws the camera's sYCC colour space as huge in comparison to Adobe RGB, but it's words are mostly waffle. I also had a lot of fun reading peoples arguments on forums and seeing different colour spaces superimposed upon each other. (Yes, I should have gone to the pub <g>)

Would love to, but being Paris based at the moment means I'll probably miss out...Thomas and I have seminars planned for Spring, maybe you should put your name down? I don't supose we'll be covering any particular SLR camera SW in detail but, behind the scenes, profile > profile conversions is always similar. And it's good to understand the bigger picture.
Have a look at: http://www.colourmanagement.net/profilgear.html and order the excellent <colorthink> it's what I'd use to find out the enswers to your questions
Thanks for the link, I do have your site bookmarked as one of the places I must look at more closely!
