Dear list,

HMMMMMMMM.

IMHO If you are thinking of buying a 6 m pixel mf back, consider the Kodak. It produces exceptional files at 80 ASA with the right lens on it. Far superior to D100. If you want a multipurpose camera I wouldn't go near it. 400 asa is bad, it was meant to do 640 ASA max raw res, but currently cannot. I personally doubt it ever will.
Kodak sent me a list of known incompatabilities with firewire cards. Approx half do not/did not work with the 14n.

The software is very good but needs greater noise reduction than it possesses at times. It has no anti-aliasing so expect to use noise reduction to filter out artifacts, quite what you are meant to do when they are still there at max everything is not clear.

Certain lenses produce horrendous magenta (one side) green (the other) gradations. Mainly wide angles, but is apparent in macro lenses at some magnifications, not at others. Some lenses are unusable. Trial and error I am afraid, Kodak will not tell you.
Expect to upgrade all your legacy lenses.

The latest firmware has an excellent long exposure feature (2 to 16 secs, 25, 15, 8 ASA from memory) very noise free. Sort of makes up for the lack of ASA depending on the type of work you do.
The latest firmware also allows me to firewire to an OS X mac with great stability. Previous firmware caused me untold problems with connectivity, but Kodak are adamant that they have not addressed this/my problem as it does not exist.

Battery life is about 4 hours rather than 3 days for the D100
Using the power cable disconnects the battery charger (brilliant design)
The camera flattens its battery when switched off, you have to remove it.

My primary problem with it is the rather startling behavior of Kodak UK (but that is a long and sad story and not appropriate for an open list)
