Possible solution. The Formac Gallery looks like a cheaper alternative to the Apple studio display, and looks very similar. http://www.formac.co.uk/html/products/monitors/2010_1.htm However it appears to have a properly designed PC version with DVI connectivity. Colour management wise, it might be good as the company claims "color-accurate" quality and conformance to Pantone's display standards.
