Have you tried the extra radio button that is at the bottom right of the dialogue after highlighting the 1290 and doing the add printer bit? I didn't "see" it at first myself, but it has the other settings eg "no margins" etc under it, and then you have to "add" each one you want - and then they appear in the main listing.
