Try reduce the amount of memory

On  the only system I have experience of - -  XP with 2.5gb Ram - - there
are start up out of memory messages for CS at any more than 93% and it
simply refuses to start (but permits access to the preferences to reduce the
figure).

At 93% and less there are no slowdowns as far as I (and others working with
it) can ascertain

I suspect that some 3rd party plugins reserve resources for themselves. I
have the feeling that one can increase the memory allocation a bit when all
of these are removed
