Could it be the case that it also takes into account your history states- if you set it to high- I have mine set to 20 states in preferences- then that could cause these high numbers- what happens if you go into edit purge- all? How much to have coppied onto your clipboard? I think this all has to do with the amount shown. Sorry if I am wrong! Also sometimes my lect figure is much higher than the right one and I don't run into any problems- I have just now 3 images open all 16 bit files and my scratch shows 2,64 on the left and 726,7 on the right?
