I can see some out of the box uses, but mostly on the scientific side of the
equation, this is, forensic( medical in general) , Crime scene ultra
detailed shots, and of course, military uses. If the resolution of the
optics reaches that of the chip, then also some telescopic( astronomy)
photography and  aerial reconoissance imaging can also be part of this.

On the artisitic side, I may think of those artists who love to shoot the
huge Polaroids just for the hell of it, finding this toy an interesting one.

Regarding agencies,  I would expect some good laughs here and there anytime
some pretentious ignorant pops out with the info, just to test your own
grounds...

In the meantime Leica is bringng the Digilux 2 into existence , with a
fantastic 5 MP camera, all the analog controls we can remember in a classic
Leica, and enough pixels for journalistic/documentary work. Quite a piece!!
