I suspect from the above that you may not be over familiar with the Kodak 14n hardware/software combo, unless of course you are and have included it in the playful toy description. :-)

I use it daily on OS-X systems. The only crash I can recall in months is when I was trying to view images on the camera LCD while at the same time having Camera Manager download and delete the images... probably not a wise move. In routine tethered shooting and editing I've had no problems at all. What sort of issues are you experiencing? I run it on a G4 tower, G4 laptop and previously a G3 laptop.... various flavors of OS-X through 10.3.1. I certainly desire other features on the Kodak software, but better stability hasn't been on the wish list as its never been a problem on my systems.
