My name is Phil Mobley and I am a freelance Graphic Designer who is interested in expanding my services to include product and background photography for print media projects.
I have worked for nearly six years in the digital prepress industry and recently started working for a software company that sells productivity software for the Graphic Design and Printing Industries. One of my job responsibilities is to develop new software product ideas and to refine our current product line.
Previously, I owned a Pentax 645 medium format camera, but a couple of weeks ago sold it to purchase the new Canon Digital Rebel (300D) kit with the 18-55 lens. With over 1000 photos taken with this camera, I am very impressed with its abilities and look forward to the time that I can upgrade to the professional line of digital SLRs. Last night, I just finished shooting my two daughters for our family Christmas Card with pleasing results.
I am joining the list to find out more about digital SLR camera issues and to improve my knowledge and skill for studio work. I am primarily focusing on still life studio work, but I will also be doing a lot of outdoor nature shots.
