Rod
When I append XMP data from a template to a "processed" file, Photoshop does
_not_ save a sidecar file. How did you get it to save a XMP sidecar file? I
have Keep Sidecar Files with Master Files checked in Prefs.
On my machine, processed files retain the modified XMP data when applied
from a template by using the FB as you suggested (no need to open and save
the file). I deleted the metadata template, just in case Photoshop was using
it in the background, and the file File Info DB still shows the changes I
made.
